The Pitstop Training Centre is an accredited centre with CITY & GUILDS to offer training and assessments in the new '4000' series of motor vehicle qualifications to NVQ level 2. We cater to those with little or no experience, wishing to attain these qualifications. Our current age range is 14-55 , with a 'core' group in the 15 - 17 bracket. We are unique in the motor training field as we do not operate solely as a training centre, but as a fully functioning MOT appointed vehicle testing station and garage. We do not charge candidates for training and assessments - ALL costs are borne by us. We are constantly looking for new sources of funding to deliver our training and meet the increasing need for qualified employees in the motor trade. We are currently training people on behalf of the European Social Fund, the Canning Town SRB, London Borough of Newham Education Department (Years 9, 10 & 11) and New Deal. On behalf of the Adult Education Department, we also run 2 evening classes per week for basic car maintenance. We have recently been awarded a 3 year grant from the Neighbourhood Development Foundation to enhance the training we carry out with 13 - 19 year olds |
